Nice to meet you. I’m Stephanie.
I'm a city girl, born & raised in Brooklyn, NY. A mom to two young girls, I love to see the world, and have always fancied the road less-traveled. I believe in saying yes over saying no, and that a bit of bravery can lead to some unforgettable adventures.
I discovered the genre of boudoir in 2011 and started my photography business shortly thereafter. At the time, I was a successful TV and film producer in New York, a career I loved. But in my heart of hearts, I wanted to be a photographer. So without any any prior business experience, I taught myself the ins and outs of both photography and of building a small business, and Brooklyn Boudoir was born. Without a dedicated studio, I utilized hotel rooms and other small rental spaces and Brooklyn Boudoir reached 6-figures within it’s first 2 years.
It was a leap worth taking. While it was tough leaving my producing career behind, I am now able to balance my home and work life a way that works for me. I get to gift women a day of me-time and help them see themselves through fresh eyes, and I get to help other photographers and small business owners do the same. It’s a tall order, and I feel my work is really important.
In 2024, I see many small businesses - photography and otherwise - all looking the same. I want to help you find your voice, stand out from the crowd and connect with your clients so that you can become the top service provider in your field. While there is no magic pill, there are certain simple systems that can be put into place to help you succeed. You’ll have to do the work and I will be helping you along the way.
